DANU MEMORIAL CCC REACHES THE SEMIS OF JAGARANI SANGHA CRICKET

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 12th Feb, 2015: In the third quarter final of the 16th All Bengal Day-Night Sub Junior Knock-out Cricket Tournament 2014-15 organised by Jagarani Sangha, Siliguri featured the defending champion team Shuvajit Mitra (Danu) Memorial Cricket Coaching centre, Siliguri taking on Raikatpara Sporting Association Cricket Coaching Centre, Jalpaiguri. The match started at 4:00 pm at the Siliguri Municipal Corporation Grounds at Suryanagar, Siliguri.

Suvajit Mitra CCC played well to score 139 at the cost of 6 wickets. Among them Chiranjit Das was the top scorer with 27 runs in his bag. From the Raikatpara SACCC side Diptangshu Dutta was the highest wicket taker with 3 wickets. Like other matches in the tournament here also there was a flood of extras with 56 runs in the first innings and 36 runs in the second innings.

In the second innings Raikatpara SACCC fought well but could only manage 119 runs at the cost of 9 wickets in 25 overs. From the Suvajit Mitra memorial CCC side the highest wicket taker was Rick Poddar and Sourav Ghosh getting 3 wickets each. Mahen Barman was declared the Man of the Match based on his all round performance in the game.
